About Us

Who We Are

Empowered by Movement is a nonprofit organization dedicated to delivering joy through movement, music, and the arts. We serve seniors and individuals with Parkinson’s, offering uplifting, interactive programs that go beyond traditional fitness. Our mission is to empower each person to move with confidence, creativity, and connection.

What We Do

Our adaptive programs are designed for all mobility levels and are grounded in music, gentle movement, and expressive arts. Whether you’re living at home or in a senior community, each class is an opportunity to move, connect, and feel alive—supporting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. We foster a welcoming environment where individuals, families, and care partners come together to share in joyful, meaningful experiences—both in person and online.

Who Is Welcome

Everyone! No matter your age, ability, or mobility, you are welcome in our vibrant, inclusive community. Our classes are inspired by the internationally acclaimed, research-backed Dance for PD program, and they’re all about feeling the rhythm, embracing the moment, and celebrating movement in a judgment-free space. Come as you are and move with us!
