Community Classes

Empowered by Movement offers community classes that seamlessly blend in-person and virtual experiences, providing older adults with the flexibility to engage in creative movement, music, and the arts from the comfort of their own home or in a supportive group setting.

A joyful, music-filled community class where movement sparks energy, creativity, and connection. Move seated or standing — there’s no right or wrong here, just your way.
No experience required — just a willingness to try something new.

What happens in a class?

Each class blends music, creativity, and guided movement in a warm, welcoming space.

You can expect:

  • Uplifting music from many eras
  • Simple patterns that strengthen
    memory and focus
  • Balance and coordination exercises
  • Creative expression and playful exploration
  • Laughter, connection, and shared experience

Who’s welcome?

Older adults — including those living with Parkinson’s and varied movement abilities —
who love to move and connect!

Care partners, friends, and family welcome.

We ask that all new students complete a registration form. Once registered you will receive an email confirmation including all of the necessary information for your community class experience. If you have questions or need specific accommodations, please email info@empoweredbymovement.org
